Schedule of Programs for December 2006 – THEME: FAMILY

12/02/06       Topic:    Journey to Orthodoxy
                    Guests:      Fr. John Fenton

Fr. Chris welcomes Fr. John Fenton, a Lutheran Priest for the past 16
years who is now a catechumen in the Orthodox Church. Fr. John will
share with us his journey, which brought him to the Orthodox Church.
While this journey was not an easy one, it was one that Fr. John feels
he needed to follow.

12/09/06       Topic:    Family and Liturgy
                    Guests:      Fr. Alkiviades Calivas

The Divine Liturgy cannot take place unless there are two or more
gathered in His Name; to some that will constitute as God’s Family. Fr.
Alkiviades Calivas joins Fr. Chris to discuss the unique perspective in
the way the Divine Liturgy can come alive to those who attend and
worship in their respective parishes throughout the world each week. He
will further emphasize the importance of the Liturgy not just being a
requirement each week, rather a place for families to run to for
support, guidance and strength. Be sure to tune in and see why we as
families should make attending the Liturgy together a priority over
other commitments.

12/16/06      Topic:    The Man and the Vine
                    Guests:      Jane G. Meyer

Jane Meyer joins Fr. Chris to discuss her new children’s book, "The Man
and the Vine," which is about the Eucharistic celebration. It is a
joyful story about a man and his daughter who plant a vineyard, and
watch the grape go from the vine to the wine cellar to the church, to
become Holy Communion with God. This story is a must read for children
of all ages.

12/23/06       Topic:    Nativity Message
                    Guests:      Fr. Christopher Metropulos

From the pulpit of St. Demetrios Church, home of CRTL, Fr. Chris will
share with us the Joy of the Nativity and what it means to all of us. He
will enlighten us on how we as Orthodox Christians can embrace the Joy
of the Nativity as one family.

12/30/06       Topic:    I Gave Birth to These Kids, now I have to raise them. Help!
                    Guests:      Matushka Valerie Zahirsky

No one prepares us for parenthood, let alone Christian parenthood. Fr.
Chris welcomes back Matushka Valerie Zahirsky who will discuss the
enormous responsibility, which parents have to God, Country, and society
as a whole. She will further share the fundamentals, which parents need
in order to raise Godly children. Be sure to tune in and find out what
we as parents can do to see to the proper Spiritual upbringing of our
future society.
