Ft. Lauderdale (December 1, 2006) – Come Receive The Light, the national
Orthodox Christian radio program produced by Orthodox Christian
Network, announces our return to local radio ministry in the greater
Boston area.
Because of a generous donation of an anonymous donor, we are
re-launching our weekly radio ministry in Boston on WROL AM 950 every
Saturday morning at 8 AM. When asked why they donated these needed funds
our donor stated “Our job as Orthodox Christians is to make the Word
available to everyone.”
WROL AM 950 is part of the Salem station group in Boston and has been
serving the Boston area for over 40 years at the same dial position.
Fr. Chris Metropulos, founder and host of Come Receive The Light, said
“It is a singular honor to be coming back to New England with our
national Orthodox Christian media program. Our prayer is that this
effort will help many in the Boston area both appreciate and perhaps
even discover the rich beauty of Orthodox Christianity.”
Come Receive The Light is the flagship radio program of Orthodox
Christian Network (OCN) and is dedicated to spreading joy, hope and
salvation in Jesus Christ while exploring Orthodox Christianity in
contemporary society.
Orthodox Christian Networks is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
and is a commissioned agency of SCOBA (The Standing Conference of
Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas) and a member of the National
Religious Broadcasters. Visit us at www.receive.org.
