Ft. Lauderdale (October 20) –Rev. Christopher Metropulos announced the appointment of three new national board members for Orthodox Christian Networks (OCN), the SCOBA commissioned agency built to create a national media presence for the Orthodox Christian Churches in America.

 
Deborah Hadjes-Funti – Deborah is a successful retail entrepreneur with more than twenty years experience in the gift and large scale event merchandising business. She is currently the CEO of DSG Inc. She also serves on numerous civic boards and committees and because of her strong participation in Orthodox Church affairs, His Eminence Archbishop Iakovos named her to the Archdiocese Council of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in 1984. She joined the board of OCN because she is convinced the Orthodox Church should begin to build a credible media presence in America.


Peter N. Dourdas, FBS – Peter is a Financial Services Professional with Dourdas Financial in New York City. His years of experience helping clients plan for their retirement, long term care, life insurance, and other asset management issues, has cause him to see the great potential for planned giving to benefit the ministries of the Orthodox Christian churches. Peter has joined the board of OCN specifically to assist Fr. Chris and OCN build the necessary financial support that will be needed to sustain a national media presence for our churches for years to come. He sees this as another opportunity to leave a lasting legacy of the faith for future generations. Peter will also chair the National Share the Light Partner campaign for OCN which seeks to acquire from 500 Orthodox Christians throughout the country annual contributions of $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 to secure the continued growth of the ministry.

 
Doug Harris - With a creative legacy that spans twenty years in broadcasting and a stable of over 50 radio clients around the world, Doug Harris has earned a reputation as the world’s premiere broadcast marketing consultant.  A former Billboard Magazine Promotion Director of the Year and the recipient of dozens of industry accolades, Doug is uniquely qualified to assist OCN in building this national media presence for the Church. Doug is the Chief Creative Officer of Creative Animal International and President of Noisemaker Communications. He also serves as Vice-President of Creative Services for the SkyWave Broadcasting Corporation.
