Manhattan Inter-Parish Association hosts CrossRoad Summer Institute
Thursday, July 10, 2025
NEW YORK - The Manhattan Inter-Parish Association and CrossRoad Institute Summer Program co-hosted an event for CrossRoad students and Manhattan parishioners to witness and share about Orthodoxy in Manhattan. The beautiful and joyful evening included parish tours of St. Nicholas of Myra Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church and the Georgian Orthodox Parish of St. Mary of Egypt. At each parish, students and parishioners from Manhattan parishes learned about the parish's history and local traditions followed by prayer. As three Orthodox churches are in close proximity, the group also visited the Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Protection (OCA).
The evening of fellowship featured stories during dinner from other parishes in Manhattan about their parish life, cultural foods, and how Orthodoxy is practiced all across the country, and internationally, shared by the CrossRoad Institute students.
The Manhattan IPA looks forward to this inaugural event becoming an annual event in collaboration with the CrossRoad Institute Summer Program!
