Antiochian Archdiocese Resumes Full Participation in Assembly
Friday, May 09, 2014
The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America has resumed full participation in the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America. This development is a direct result of the decision by the Holy Synod of the Church of Antioch to rescind its previous resolution to temporarily suspend participation in every Assembly of Bishops.
His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan, Patriarchal Vicar, notified the Chairman of the Assembly, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America, of the decision, which was received with great joy.
All members of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, including hierarchs, priests, deacons, monastics, and lay men and women, will resume the responsibilities and functions with which they were previously entrusted by the Assembly.
