60 Minutes to Feature Plight of Coptic Christians

The CBS News program 60 Minutes will air a segment on the plight of Coptic Christians on Sunday, December 15. The program will air at 7 pm ET/PT.
An estimated 10% of Egyptians are Coptic Christian. They are one of the most ancient Christian Churches in the Middle East. In recent months, Egypt’s Coptic community has been the target of increasing sectarian violence. In August of 2013, more than 40 Coptic churches were attacked in a wave of violence.
