Inter-Parish Association Local Facilitator Job Description
The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops’ Inter-Parish Associations (IPA) ministry seeks facilitators for growing IPAs across the country. The IPA Facilitator is tasked with accompanying local IPAs through the From Vision to Ministry mini course, be the main point of contact in the locale, and empower participating parishes through local leadership to prepare for the strategic planning process. They will work closely with the local IPA Synergy Group and the AoB Director of Inter-Parish Associations.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate 4–5 in-person sessions with the Synergy Group.
- Check-in weekly or bi-weekly with the Synergy Group to stay on track with course completion.
- Be the main point of contact for the local IPA email communications and event sharing.
- Check-in weekly with the Director of Inter-Parish Associations.
Background and Skills:
- An Orthodox Christian residing in the local area of the Inter-Parish Association and a member of a participating parish.
- Ability to facilitate diverse and inter-generational groups.
- Comfortable reaching out via phone and email to clergy and laity.
Time Commitment and Expectations:
- ~5 hours per week.
- 3–4-month commitment, dependent on local IPA speed and progress.
The IPA Facilitator is a stipend position. The stipend is $500 a month with a possibility of continuing if the local Inter-Parish Association builds a local sustainability plan.
