Integration of Faith Jesus said that he came to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free. I use modern psychotherapy strategies combined with Christian principles and beliefs toward healing. I look at false beliefs that keep my clients bound by using the Orthodox interpretation of scripture. For instance, a non-Orthodox Christian might believe that if they sin then they are bad. I show them where God said, "It is good" in Genesis and he meant them, but their passions are hurtful, but it is not who they are. I encourage prayer and the use of scripture to help heal intrusive thoughts, for instance; Maybe prescribing a forgiveness exercise to stop hurtful memories from attacking a client.
