IOCC Expanding Ethiopia Operations, Seeking Staff

International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) is expanding its operations in Ethiopia and looking for staff to help implement its new, $6 million AIDS prevention initiative with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.

The three-year project, supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development, seeks to build the Church’s capacity to care for AIDS orphans and to give palliative care to people living with HIV/AIDS. The project also involves a large abstinence-based education campaign directed toward people ages 15-24.

Helping to implement the program from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, will be a program manager and an HIV/AIDS project officer.

The program manager will, among other things, ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the USAID agreement.

The HIV/AIDS specialist will manage the project, working with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and organizing a national AIDS prevention campaign.

For more information about the job responsibilities, education requirements and application process, please visit www.iocc.org/employment.html or call toll-free 1-877-803-4622.

Founded in 1992, IOCC is the humanitarian aid agency of Orthodox Christians.
