Address of Archbishop Justinian at the 2011 Assembly of Bishops

Wednesday, July 06, 2011
I am glad to welcome the fruitful work of the Assembly for the time elapsed since its first plenary meeting in May 2010. First of all, I would like to admit that we came to deep understanding among the leadership, and I can attest to the spirit of brotherly love among us from the experience of my meetings and maintaining mutual contact with the Chairman of the Assembly, Archbishop Demetrios and Co-Vice Chairman, Metropolitan Philip. Address of Metropolitan Philip at the 2011 Assembly of Bishops

Wednesday, July 06, 2011

As Chairman of this Assembly I am grateful for your prayerful and irenic presence, and I am hopeful that we will be able to move our nascent body forward with positive steps that will lead to tangible results for all the Orthodox. read more »

Atlas of American Orthodox Christian Churches

Wednesday, June 29, 2011
The Atlas provides a "snapshot" of the Orthodox Christian Churches in the United States. It is addressed for the wide - Orthodox and non-Orthodox, academic and non-academic - audiences. Simultaneously, this book is an atlas, a reference book and a thematic monograph. It is an atlas because it contains numerous maps to show the historical development and present territorial patterns of Orthodox Church life in America. It is a reference book because it furnishes comprehensive information and statistical data on all American Orthodox Christian Churches. It is a thematic monograph because the essays in this book tell the story of the Orthodox Christian past and present in the United States. read more »
